22/9/2020

In this section we present the modifications of the IEPS quotas applicable to fuels that are derived from the fiscal stimulus that is published weekly and generally has a validity of 7 days from the day following its publication.

This stimulus will continue to be in force during 2020 and 2021, with which the federal government will continue to adjust the IEPS quotas applicable to fuels, to “avoid abrupt movements” in public prices derived from the volatility of global markets and the type of fuel. Change. In other words, these quotas will be reduced when oil prices rise and they will increase when international oil prices show a decrease.

It is also important to remember that as of January 1, 2020, the IEPS quotas applicable to fuels suffered an increase due to the annual update due to inflation.
